Bank of America finally delivered my ATM/Check card today. Nearly a month after I opened an account with them, got the first card canceled because it never arrived, and ran through two temporary ATM cards. Something in the postal system sucks really bad.

But the good news is that the card works online, so I now have a paid LJ account. Finally! But because it is a check card (called debit card elsewhere; Americans overuse the word "check"), there's no fraud protection for online transactions, so I'll have to be careful with where I use it. I have to get a credit card.

My payment to iMeme for hosting services is also due, but that will have to stay on hold until I figure out exactly how much moving into my new apartment is going to cost me. I'm expecting $1500 plus (thanks, Jon, Jake, mindlace, you guys are the best).
